Adopt A Rattler

 

 

We are striving to provide our Student-Athletes with the maximum scholarship support possible in the hopes of having more and more Canadian athletes choose to stay at home for their post secondary education. Meeting challenges and pursuing excellence are what college academics and athletics are all about. The fundraising from this program will go along way towards keeping the RATTLERS TRADITION alive!

 

Medicine Hat College is proud to offer an opportunity for you or your organization to become a supporter of Rattlers Athletics through the Adopt-A-Rattler program. Your contribution will provide benefits to your adopted athlete and their team. Your donation will support initiatives such as exhibition travel, accommodations, clothing, equipment or other competition related expenses.

 

 

 

 

Medicine Hat College Rattlers Student-Athletes are required to be full-time students, resulting in 15 – 20 hours in the classroom with at least an additional 20 hours a week for studying and reading.

 

On average, Medicine Hat College Rattlers Student-Athletes are training or competing for six months of the academic year. In season training for Medicine Hat College Rattlers Student-Athletes averages 4 to 5 days a week. This totals approximately 10 hours a week training time, not including competition and travel.

 

Rattlers Student-Athletes compete on weekends, and are often out of town. Fridays, Saturdays and sometimes Sundays are spent competing or traveling. This results in the added burden of making up for missed class time.

 

In addition, Medicine Hat College Rattlers Student-Athletes contribute their limited free time to the College for fundraising activities. media events and community service.
