Carolyn Main teaches managerial and financial accounting courses for MHC. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree and a Master of Professional Accounting degree from the University of Saskatchewan. She earned her Chartered Accountant designation in 2005 (CPA, CA). Before embarking on her teaching career, Carolyn articled at a mid-sized accounting firm in Saskatoon and was fortunate to travel North America and Trinidad as part of PotashCorp’s internal audit team. She also worked as a controller in the Medicine Hat area. After 15 years of professional experience, Carolyn was drawn back to the academic world, as she believes sharing knowledge is both powerful and exciting. She strives to be an engaged, passionate instructor who sparks enthusiasm in her students amidst challenging subject matter. Carolyn was involved in the Chartered Accountant School of Business for four years as an online facilitator, where she provided guidance and mentorship to students. Her passions include spending time with her husband and son, practicing meditation, and vegetarian cooking.
