Miranda Davies

Miranda Davies has her Bachelor of Arts in English and French from the University of Alberta and her Master’s in Business Administration from Dalhousie University. She has been an instructor in the business department at Medicine Hat College since 2011 and teaches communications, marketing, human resources, entrepreneurship and operations management. Her background is in hotel management, her last position being at the Fairmont Banff Springs where she was the Director of Rooms. Along with her teaching, Miranda has been the principal investigator for an applied research project on small business retention; in 2017 she worked with a number of summer students developing marketing strategies for small towns in southern Alberta.

“Interdependence is a higher value than independence”; Miranda believes that working as a team, communicating effectively, and being passionate about what we do is the key to success. Miranda was awarded Instructor of the Year in 2016.
