Rick Robinson has a Bachelor of Management and a Master’s in Business Administration. He began his instructional career part-time in 2002 in the Division of Business, and as a full time instructor in the Global Tourism & Marketing program in 2007. During the 20 years prior to joining MHC full time, Rick held management positions with for-profit and not-for-profit organizations. Over the years, Rick has taught courses in management, marketing human resources, cultural awareness, Microsoft Office & Adobe’s Creative Suite. He now instructs Introductory Accounting for the Business Administration program and is researching the effectiveness of classroom techniques in Introductory Accounting alongside a colleague from NorQuest College. As someone who returned to school later in life, Rick has experienced the benefits of post-secondary education first hand and is passionate about the value of education to improve individual lives and societies as a whole. Rick was awarded Medicine Hat College’s Instructor of the Year Award for 2014 – 15.
