Medicine Hat College is pleased to host the 37th annual Alberta Deans of Business Case Competition, during which all post-secondary institutions in Alberta are invited to register a team of students to solve a real business problem. While we would love to welcome you to our beautiful campus and community in person, we will do our best to bring Medicine Hat College to you in the virtual world.

About the competition
The 2022 Alberta Deans of Business Case Competition will run March 10 - 12, 2022. This competition is open to students from Alberta post‐secondary institutions which offer business programming. Teams are given a case to analyze, research, and ultimately construct a recommended course of action, which will be presented through a recorded screencast and presentation slides to a panel of judges on the final day of the competition.

Your future success in business rests on the foundation of knowledge and skills you’ll build in the Business Administration Diploma program. This program offers you the opportunity to focus on your strength and career goals, with majors in Accounting, Financial Services, Hospitality & Tourism, Marketing, Management, and Administrative Office Professional. All students are admitted into a common first year before concentrating on a specific area through declaring a major in your second year.
This new post-diploma program serves as a stand-alone certificate that builds on previous knowledge of accounting theory and application. It can also provide a bridge for students pursuing CPA designation and completion of a business degree.
As a student at MHC, you'll benefit from small class sizes and personalized instruction in advanced accounting courses, as well as work-integrated learning and development of critical thinking skills. This certificate program also includes internship opportunities with participating employers in our region.
Starting in Fall 2022! A first of its kind in Canada, MHC's Sustainable Innovation diploma, with majors in Business or Science, provides students with the ability to develop, implement and lead sustainable innovation strategies in diverse industries. Students will acquire just-in-time experience learning to develop the skills and competencies needed to analyze and evaluate the detailed ecosystems that reinforce and support our built environment.
Offered in person and HyFlex, this two-year program of five semesters includes an integrated workplace learning experience and is designed for change makers who are excited about challenging existing standards and propelling their ideas forward to positively impact our communities and society. This program trains the next generations of leaders to initiate effective, innovative and sustainable approaches to solving challenges that impact people, places and profits by looking at new and strategic ways of doing business.
