Shae-Lynn Lacasse

Dance

Shae-Lynn was born and raised in Medicine Hat and was first introduced to dancing at the age of 8. After quickly discovering a love for dance, she would continue to take dance classes at the MHC Conservatory and Hanson School of Dance for the next 9 years as well as attend several dance workshops along the way. Throughout these years, she has learned many forms of dance including jazz, lyrical, modern and hip hop, which has always been her favourite and the core of her passion for dance. Shae-Lynn’s dedication to the performing arts has continuously grown every year and was acknowledged in 2016 with the Kim Dirk Scholarship for being a great role model to her students through hard work and dedication.

Shae-Lynn has assisted many dance classes during her years as a middle and high school student and eventually realized that she had a love for something other than dance, and that was teaching. She is currently pursuing this career by working towards her Bachelor of Education at the Medicine Hat College and is very excited to combine her two passions once again!
