Brian Walters

Guitar

Brian Walters has been playing guitar for over 40 years. He began formal studies in Québec at Cégep de Sainte-Foy and continued at the University of British Columbia, where he completed his Bachelor of Music degree. Brian also has a Bachelor of Education degree from UBC. 

While in Québec, Brian performed as a member of an Early Music ensemble, Atelier de musique ancienne de Sainte-Foy. In Medicine Hat, Brian has performed in the group Celtic Ezra and as half of a classical guitar duo with Bill Frank. Brian enjoyed teaching a variety of music styles at the Medicine Hat College Conservatory of Music and Dance for 13 years and is looking forward to meeting students with his return in 2019. 

Since 2017, Brian has taught adult campfire guitar classes at MHC through Continuing Studies. He also works as a substitute teacher for Medicine Hat Public School Division.
