For MHC Employees

Health & Wellness

Ready to be fit and have fun? MHC offers a variety of programs and facilities to keep you active and healthy.

Medicine Hat College knows it can be a struggle to balance life and work and is committed to supporting positive mental health on campus for employees.

Alberta Blue Cross members have access to the Employee and Family Assistance Program (EFAP) offered by Homewood Health, Canada's leader in mental health and addiction care.

The Health Matters Clinic (F107) is located at Medicine Hat College and provides walk-in services to MHC students and employees. Hours vary, so please check the weekly employee communication, On Campus, for an updated schedule.

Medicine Hat College supports the development of a vibrant, healthy, respectful, inclusive and harassment-free environment. As a responsible member of the college community your behaviour should support the college's goal of providing that for everyone.

The college provides access to people trained to resolve issues of harassment and discrimination. If you have any questions or concerns the Human Rights Advisor will provide you with confidential advice and support.

Spotlight on Human Rights

Human Rights
Did you know?

MHC has a Human Rights Advisory Working Committee that meets throughout the year to develop and implement initiatives that provide awareness, education, and information about human rights to the college community. It also participates in stakeholder consultation during the regular scheduled reviews of the Respectful Work and Learning Environment policy and procedure. Membership of this committee is diverse, with representation from the Students' Association, academic divisions, support departments, collective bargaining units, and college administration.

If you are interested in volunteering for events or learning more about this committee, please contact Teresa Gyorkos.
