If you are going to travel on college business you must obtain pre-approval from your Supervisor/Dean prior to finalizing travel arrangements.
In order to receive reimbursement for expenses, a travel claim form must be completed/signed, approved by your Supervisor/Dean and then forwarded to the Financial Services Department for processing. Original receipts must support all claims.

The Office of College Advancement produces a weekly electronic newsletter which is distributed by email every Tuesday unless otherwise communicated. Employees are welcome to submit news and event items to On Campus by noon the preceding Friday.
Please note that On Campus is intended to the be primary source for internal communications. Campus-wide emails will not be sent to the college community unless the subject matter meets criteria.

Vehicle Use for College Business
For those employees who are a minimum of 25 years of age, Medicine Hat College has a fleet of vehicles which can be booked and used for College-related business in or out of town. It is best to book well in advance of your outing as the vehicles tend to be in great demand throughout the year. If you need to fill with gasoline during your outing, keep your receipt and claim gasoline expenses through the travel claim form.
Supervisors may authorize vehicle rental. Check with your supervisor for companies that the department has successfully used.

College Keys & Proxy Cards
Key/Proxy Card Request forms can be obtained from the Administrative Assistant in your Division/Area. The request must be approved, and the form signed, by your Dean/Supervisor and then forwarded to the Facility Operations Department.

When booking equipment and software for delivery, library staff requires advance notice of 24 hours in order to be able to guarantee delivery.

When making a booking, please ensure to include your name, room number, delivery time, equipment required, and title of audio visual software needed. Multimedia support staff will deliver and set up the equipment and software, and collect it at the end of the class. Equipment can also be picked up from the library.

In addition to offering a wide selection of office supplies, teaching tools and computer software, The Bookstore also provides specific services and specials for college employees.
Human Resources will supply a new employee with their first name badge. Replacement name badges will be at the cost of the employee’s department and must be ordered through the Bookstore. For a replacement name badge, please contact the bookstore at local 3809.
All employees receive a 20% discount on personal purchases in the store, excluding books and computer supplies. Please see the Administrative Assistant in your department to determine if you are eligible to charge office supplies.
Parking is enforced year-round at the Medicine Hat campus. Parking is free at the Brooks campus. Permits can be purchased in The Bookstore. For more information about parking on campus, please click here.
The Bookstore stocks all the required and reference texts for Medicine Hat College required courses. Personal book orders can be placed through the store.
