Medicine Hat College walked away with two awards at the Medicine Hat and District Chamber of Commerce Annual Business Awards last Friday.

The Marketing Excellence Award is given to the organization that has best demonstrated excellence, innovation, and originality in traditional or new media marketing. MHC was recognized for the "We’re Here" awareness/recruitment campaign launched in the fall of 2010. The We’re Here campaign has been used to convey the college's geographic advantage to regional users, as well as an atmosphere of support, tradition, and stability.

The Workplace Health and Safety Award that MHC received recognizes an organization that has shown leadership through its commitment to improving its health and safety management practices or implemented a new, unique, forward-thinking and original idea to create a safer, healthier work environment. Medicine Hat College was recognized for taking a proactive innovative approach in preparing for unusual and potential catastrophic events. The college has made some significant improvements in ensuring a safe and secure environment, including a communication system that was installed this year.
