Medicine Hat College offers free admission to the Rattlers games

February 11, 2016

For the remainder of the regular season, Medicine Hat College (MHC) is offering the community free admission to the Rattlers games and a free pop and popcorn voucher for kids under 18 years. This gesture is part of the institution’s 50 Acts of College initiative in celebration of the college’s 50th anniversary

“We really wanted to boost community spirit during these hard economic times by offering a free option for families to come on campus and enjoy some sports entertainment,” says Mark Keller, director of college advancement.

The Rattlers next home game is against the SAIT Trojans on Friday, February 12. The women’s volleyball team plays at 6 p.m. followed by the men’s at 8 p.m.

“This is an important game for the men’s team. They are currently in second place in the ACAC South standings, only 12 points behind Red Deer,” says Patrick Sharp, athletic events supervisor. “The women’s team are in fifth with four games left until playoffs, so I think the game will be fast-paced and entertaining. A perfect night out for all ages”

Next weekend both the men’s and women’s basketball teams will be playing against Briercrest College at 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
