The Medicine Hat College (MHC) Rattlers are pleased to announce that William (Bill) Corcoran has been hired to be the coach of the newly formed Rattlers cross-country team.

Corcoran was the longtime coach at Grande Prairie Regional College (GPRC) where he started a highly successful cross-country program in 1991. His teams have won three individual Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) gold medals along with two CCAA Team gold medals.

Having recently retired from GPRC, Corcoran and his wife relocated to Medicine Hat and he is excited about developing the Rattlers cross-country program and leading it into Alberta Collegiate Athletic Conference (ACAC) and CCAA prominence.

"Rattlers Athletics is very fortunate to have someone like Bill join our staff," says Terry Ballard, manager of sport and wellness at MHC. "With close to 30 years of experience as an ACAC/CCAA Cross-Country Running coach, he has built cross country running programs, developed several CCAA National Champions, and served as the CCAA Cross-Country Running Convener. He understands the high demands a college student-athlete and we look forward to watching this program grow under his direction."
