An advanced course introducing topics and theories related tocommercial building design and construction. Students will build on knowledge in areas of technology, terminology and standards while advancing their knowledge of design, planning, detailing and construction processes. Advanced topics include Barrier Free design, occupant safety, communications (oral, written, and graphic), reporting and coordination as students work both individually andin team environments. Current 3D modeling and drafting software; and pertinent building codes, municipal standards, and design practices are addressed.
