This course focuses on crimes against persons including homicides, criminal harassment, peace bonds, obstruction, perjury, and related offences. It also covers other federal statutes including the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act and the Youth Criminal Justice Act. A number of Alberta provincial statutes are covered including but not limited to: The Gaming and Liquor Act, The Police Act and Regulations, Traffic Safety Act, and other relevant statutes and some municipal by-laws.
