MGMT 267 - Leadership Development
Introduction to leadership issues and focuses on developing knowledge and capacities that contribute to leadership success. This course assumes a personal level of interest in the subject: the purpose in learning about leaders and leadership is to enable you to become a better leader. The focus is not so much on leadership in terms of content, but more so about leadership processes and in developing your self-confidence and the skills necessary to lead. Topics include knowledge of leadership techniques and theories, teamwork, learning styles, values, personal needs, behavioral styles, individual and group conflict, and supportive communications. NOTE: Students cannot receive credit for both MGMT 267 and MGMT 4431.
Prerequisite: MGMT 161 OR MGMT 263 & Second Year Standing Corequisite: MGMT 263
