Introduction to Health Care and Rehabilitation
This course provides a study of Canada’s current health caresystem with a detailed focus on rehabilitation philosophy and theprofessions of physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speechlanguage pathology. The roles of the occupational therapist assistant/physical therapist assistant and speech-language pathologist assistant are introduced. Skills and knowledge are developed through exposure to clinical rehabilitation settings, institutional policies and procedures, universal precautions, and documentation.
