Bachelor of Business Administration
Thanks to a partnership with Mount Royal University (MRU), you can now complete a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree, General Management Major, right here at MHC. If you are a graduate of MHC's Business Administration diploma with a major in Accounting, Management, Marketing, or Financial Services, your diploma can block transfer to the BBA and allow you to complete years three and four of the MRU degree without leaving Medicine Hat.
About this Program
Pursuing an education in business ensures you have the skills and knowledge needed to build a successful career in a variety of areas. Careers in accounting, advertising, sales, financial services, personnel management, small business management and more start with a solid foundation in business training.
To help you meet your educational and career goals, Medicine Hat College has partnered with Mount Royal University to offer a business degree at our Medicine Hat campus. During your first and second year, you will complete two years of approved course work to meet the admission requirements to this program. Upon successful completion of those 20 pre-approved courses, you can then apply to the degree program to complete the 20 courses remaining to earn the your degree. If you are interested in applying to this program, you must meet with an academic advisor.
Acceptance into this program is competitive and based upon Grade Point Average. If accepted, you will join the MRU program as a third year student, and upon successful completion of years three and four, you will graduate with a Bachelor of Business Administration from Mount Royal University, General Management Major.

Admission RequirementsTo apply to this program, applicants must meet one of two admission routes.
Graduates of Medicine Hat College’s Business Administration diploma program with a major in Accounting, Management, Financial Services or Marketing. Equivalent business administration diplomas from other post-secondary institutions will not be considered.
- Completion of a minimum of twenty (20) required Business Administration courses and approved electives as specified in the MHC calendar.
- Achievement of a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0 in the diploma.
- Completion of a twenty (20) approved university transfer courses. 12 specified and 8 electives.
- Achievement of a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0.
The Bachelor of Business Administration partnership program at MHC is a competitive program so that the most academically qualified students are accepted first.
Successful applicants register in the third year of the Bachelor of Business Administration program.
Completing the Bachelor of Business Administration will enhance and broaden the education you completed during your diploma studies, and allow you more opportunity for advancement in your career.
This degree will provide you with the opportunity complete the majority of the admission requirements to enter the Charted Professional Accountant (CPA) Designation program.
The financial industry is actively recruiting degree graduates to become financial advisors, management trainees, commercial bankers, and retail bankers.
Degree graduates are also prepared to enter the field and become project managers, human resource managers, non-profit administrators, marketing directors, and much more.
