University Studies: Commerce/Management
Success in business rests on a strong foundation of basic business concepts in areas such as accounting, financial services, marketing, human resources, and more. If you are planning to pursue a degree in commerce, business administration, or management, MHC offers degree completion in collaboration with Mount Royal University, as well as several university transfer options.
About this Program
Whether you want to finish a business degree on campus, or begin your studies here and transfer to another institution, MHC has what you need.
Mount Royal University and Medicine Hat College offer a degree completion program for Mount Royal’s Bachelor of Business Administration - General Management Major (BBA) on-site at Medicine Hat College. The BBA is a four-year degree; however, students are not admitted to the program until year three. Students must first complete the MHC Business Administration diploma or 20 prescribed courses in the University Transfer: Commerce/Management program.
Starting your degree at MHC is also an option, as Medicine Hat College has transfer agreements in place with several institutions. You can take up to two years of a bachelor's degree at Medicine Hat College and then transfer to one of several universities.
Admission to these programs is competitive, and we recommend that you meet with an academic advisor from Medicine Hat College and from the university you plan to attend regarding admission requirements and course selections. Navigating a transfer can be very complex, and course selection is very important to ensure you meet the admission requirements of the institution you wish to apply to. For more information on transfer agreements in Alberta, visit www.transferalberta.ca.
