Start Up Funding

The Start Up Company Program gives MHC students and recent alumni the opportunity to start a business through business support services, mentorship and a variety of grants thanks to our partners: RBC Foundation, Alberta Innovates and Rural E-Hub. View our student handbook.
Each year, budding student entrepreneurs and innovators pitch their business ideas to a panel of local business professionals and compete for their share of startup grants and cash prizes. This includes up to $5,000 in grants thanks to the RBC Foundation.
Come practice your pitch and earn money while doing it. Pitch your business idea and get instant customer feedback at the event. The entrepreneur with the best pitch also walks away with the prize money that night to go towards their startup.
