Overview of Services

Peer Support
The SA's Peer Support Centre officially opened in October of 1997 and takes great pride in “peers helping peers.” All students who seek peer support are ensured professional service and access to quality resources pertaining to a variety of societal issues. If you are interested in becoming a Peer Supporter, stop by the SA located in the F Wing or call 403.502.8992.

Health and Dental Benefits
Full-time Canadian students (9 credits or more) are entitled to health and dental benefits through the Students’ Association.  Students are automatically enrolled in the program and fees are assessed.  Fees are listed in the Tuition and Fee section.  The Students’ Association of Medicine Hat College Health and Dental Plans are managed through the Campus Trust.  For plan information visit www.studentbenefits.ca.

Full-time International students (9 credits or more) are entitled to a health plan through the International Education department.  Students are automatically enrolled in the program on a semester basis.  The International Student Health plan is administered by Guard.me.  For plan information, please visit www.guard.me.

Food Bank
With the endless list of expenses that college students face, there's not always a lot of money left at the end of the month for basic necessities like food. If you are struggling to make ends meet, stop by the Students' Association to access the discreet and confidential Student Food Bank.
