Medicine Hat College invites applications for a casual Library Assistant III in our Vera Bracken Library.
A little about the role:
This position’s primary role is to provide research and citation support to the users of the library, as well as helping them locate, use, and borrow a wide variety of library resources and services. Additional project work may involve performing technical tasks within collection management and physical processing of library materials.
Details:
- A library technician diploma
- Two (2) years related library experience, including research/citation support
- Equivalent combinations of post-secondary education and work experience may be considered
- Ability to learn and apply new technologies
- Ability to problem solve, be self-motivated, and work independently and as part of a large team is essential
- Excellent organization, attention to detail, time management, and communication skills are required
- Term of Appointment: August 21, 2024 to April 25,, 2025
- Hours of Work: up to 10 hours/week
- Wage Rate: $26.16 per hour (Start Rate); $29.35 per hour (Job Rate)
