Began teaching at MHC: 2024
As a Medicine Hat College alumni, Rori began her career in healthcare in 2013 after completing her Health Care Aide certificate in a partnership program with a local organization, Saamis Aboriginal Employment and Training. The following year, she enrolled in MHC's Practical Nursing program to progress toward her goal of a career in nursing, graduating with her Practical Nurse diploma with honours in 2016. Rori was the recipient of the Governor General's Bronze Medal for her academic success in the PN program. Rori is passionate about personal growth and lifelong learning and has continued her education in pursuit of a Bachelor of Nursing degree through Athabasca University, which she projects will be completed in 2025.
As an instructor, Rori aims to create a safe, inclusive learning environment and to promote engagement and interaction. In her personal time, Rori enjoys reading and doing puzzles and games with her two sons.
