MHC invites community to a free movie night

August 28, 2014

Medicine Hat College (MHC) is planning a “welcome back” celebration and is inviting new and returning students, alumni and the community to participate. Join us the evening of Tuesday, September 2, 2014 as local food vendors and Park after Dark Cinemas take over the campus. The movie, voted for by the public, will be Back to the Future.

“We’re excited to have the students back at the college and we think they deserve something special,” said Jennifer Fleckenstein, student recruiter. “This evening will not only give them an opportunity to meet and interact with their peers but also taste some great food and meet the amazing people from our community.”

From 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. various local food vendors will be available to provide dinner and dessert options. You can purchase dishes from WannaWafel, Twisted Chef, Swirls Ice Cream, Il Forno Vagabondo and Baja Fiesta. A photo booth will as well be set up for anyone to take photos at no cost.

From 8:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. a free movie will show on the lawn of the campus. Popcorn will be available courtesy of the MHC Campus Life Committee.

“Bring your lawn chairs, treats, blankets...anything to make your movie going experience great. We will also be accepting non-perishable food donations for the Student Food Bank,” said Fleckenstein.

Medicine Hat College would like to thank TD Insurance Meloche Monnex who sponsored the movie and photo booth.  TD is a strong supporter of the college and continues to offer great discounts and services to MHC alumni.
