MHC Conservatory welcomes Sho-Tyme for exclusive Hip Hop workshop
February 27, 2019
It’s Sho-Tyme! Celebrity choreographer, Sho-Tyme, is coming to the Medicine Hat College (MHC) Conservatory for an exclusive Hip Hop Intensive Mar. 22 – 23, 2019. Based in Los Angeles, Sho-Tyme’s versatility as a dancer and choreographer has established his reputation in the music industry where he has worked with top artists Missy Elliot, Jay Z, Katy Perry, P Diddy, and Gwen Stefani. He has also been involved with several TV shows and movies including Dancing with the Stars, So You Think You Can Dance and Dirty Dancing.
The Hip Hop Intensive at MHC offers a unique opportunity for local dancers to learn from the best in the business. Four workshops with Sho-Tyme will cover Hip Hop, House, and Grooves dance styles. Tara Wilson from Pulse Studios in Calgary will lead a bonus Popping class for students and an instructor only session for those looking to brush up on their Hip Hop teaching skills. There will also be a private Meet and Greet where participants can meet Sho-Tyme, snap a selfie, and receive an autographed poster.
The Medicine Hat College Conservatory is excited to bring this high caliber event to the region and collaborate with the dance community.
“In support of local dance studios, we are extremely fortunate to host Sho-Tyme at the college conservatory to teach his advanced Hip Hop style and technique,” says Kurtis Albers, conservatory program coordinator. “He is one of the world’s most sought after Hip Hop instructors and maintains one of the biggest classes at the famous Millennium Dance Complex in Los Angeles. Experienced Hip Hop instructors and dancers of Southeast Alberta have an incredible opportunity to learn from the best and improve their own style, technique and choreography.”
