MHC Career Expo brings employment opportunities together

Career Expo 2019
October 16, 2019

With almost 60 exhibitors looking to grow their organizations, Medicine Hat College’s (MHC) Career Expo on Oct. 23, 2019 is shaping up to the one of the biggest and best in its event history.

The expo, which runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Centennial Hall, is open to the community. It serves to highlight available or potential employment opportunities and services for local job seekers and students.

“We are really excited about this year’s event as we welcome new and returning organizations from across Western Canada. Job seekers can explore innovative displays, interact with employers – even check out a mobile simulation training room for stock market trading,” says Shelly Drefs, career services assistant with MHC’s Career Centre.

“Most times when people are looking for work or contemplating a career change, they don’t know where to start. This event serves as a venue for meeting with human resources professionals face-to-face, finding out more about their organization and what they do, and getting tips for standing out from other applicants.”

Drefs adds there will be many returning exhibitors and some new companies as well, in industries ranging from law enforcement and research to health services and retail.
