MHC provides update on Winter 2021
October 14, 2020
With the fall semester running smoothly in virtual and blended formats, Medicine Hat College (MHC) has made the decision to continue the current delivery of programs and services for Winter 2021.
The majority of programs and student services will be offered remotely, while learning that requires face-to-face interaction – labs or the use of special equipment, will have priority access at campuses in Medicine Hat and Brooks. Services will be available through a combination of virtual and in person options.
Dr. Vicky Roy, vice-president academic and provost at MHC, is confident that this decision is the best way to ensure students can succeed in their studies.
“The reality of the current environment hasn’t changed. COVID-19 continues to impact many aspects of our daily lives and this is unlikely to resolve in the short term. Given the ongoing uncertainty surrounding the pandemic, making this decision now allows us to set expectations and establish stability for students and staff in the coming months,” says Roy.
“MHC remains committed to student success by providing the supports and services they need to reach their goals. Our students, and our entire college community, have shown tremendous resiliency and we are confident this will continue next semester.”
Additional details with program-specific information will be communicated in the weeks ahead via student email and the MHC website.
