FALL 2021 UPDATE

Free Fitness Classes for students and employees

Fitness Centre

Due to construction of the Health, Wellness & Athletics Expansion, the Fitness Centre has relocated to the Courtyard Room next to the theatre until the new facility is complete.

Fall 2021 Hours of Operation

Monday - Friday: 6 a.m. - 9 p.m.
Saturday: 11 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Sunday: 12 - 4 p.m.

Book your workout in advance
Workout time slots have been extended to 55 minutes and start on the hour. A maximum of eight people is allowed per time slot and all Fitness Centre users are reminded to bring their staff/student ID card and scan it upon entry.

To book a workout time slot, stop by the Fitness Centre (located in the Courtyard Room next to the theatre), email Dean Studer at dstuder@mhc.ab.ca, or call 403.529.3840. Questions can be directed to Dean via email.

*Some equipment did not make its way into the temporary fitness centre due to space limitations. Please be prepared to adapt to what is currently available.


Gym Access
Currently the gymnasium is closed and only accessible to Rattlers teams during their set practice times. No open gyms are available until further notice.

Tennis Courts

Four tennis courts are available on the north side of campus. You can borrow equipment from staff in the Weight Room.


Soccer Pitch

The main MHC soccer pitch on the north side of the campus is the practice and home field for the Rattlers.


Hiking/Walking/Running

The Sunrise Rotary Trail circles the perimeter of the Medicine Hat campus and features 3.5 km of paved trail, fitness equipment and two playground areas. There is also easy access to Kin Coulee Park and additional trails and paths.
