Description
The Chamber of Commerce is seeking a dynamic, motivated, creative and organized individual with an interest in serving and connecting with the business community. Our ideal candidate will be a current student who is keenly interested in working with the Chamber of Commerce and our business community in making an impact through our events, membership and communications.
This position is geared towards an eligible student through the Canada Summer Job Grant program or Magnet Student Work Placement program who is interested in event planning, graphic design, outreach and communications for the Chamber and its members and is responsible for assisting with the planning, coordination and implementation of Chamber events and the assistance in the coordination, creation, compilation and distribution of communications, membership and other media.
Preference will be given to those candidates with experience/education/interest in the fields of marketing, promotions, event planning, communications, design and art, or business administration.
We are looking for a candidate with knowledge of general office practices and telephone protocol, the ability to establish and maintain good working relationships both internally and externally, is able to operate office equipment, has good organizational and communication skills and is proficient in using computers and Microsoft Office programs, along with experience in graphic design, photography and videography.

Pay Rate
17.50
Term Of Appointment
As soon as possible to August 25, 2023.
The right candidate will have the opportunity to move into full-time employment with the completion of a successful internship.
