Thinking about becoming a Medicine Hat College student? Open House is the perfect opportunity to explore your options, connect with faculty and staff, and take the next step toward your future. Attendees can submit one application free of charge for eligible Winter 2027, Spring 2027, or Fall 2027 programs and may also qualify to win a $1,000 tuition waiver.

Open House attendees may submit one application free of charge for admission to an eligible Winter 2027, Spring 2027, or Fall 2027 program. Visit the Application Station in the Library during Open House to connect with Admissions staff and complete your application.
*Eligibility and Conditions:
- Applicants may submit one free application only.
- Additional applications beyond the first free application will be subject to regular application fees.
- Attendees can apply at either the Medicine Hat Campus Open House or the Brooks Campus Open House, regardless of which campus offers their program of interest.
- Parents or supporters may submit an application on behalf of a prospective student and must certify that all information provided is accurate.
- Applications to Apprenticeship and Pre-Employment programs are not eligible for the Open House application offer.
Tuition Draw Information & Criteria* | Win a $1,000 Tuition Waiver!
Eligible Open House attendees will be entered into a draw for one (1) $1,000 tuition waiver. To be eligible, participants must:
- Submit an application at either the Medicine Hat Campus or Brooks Campus Open House for a Winter 2027, Spring 2027, or Fall 2027 intake; or
- Have already applied for a Winter 2027, Spring 2027, or Fall 2027 program and verify their application at Open House.
*Tuition Waiver Conditions:
- One (1) tuition waiver valued at $1,000 will be awarded.
- The tuition waiver may be applied toward tuition and mandatory fees for Winter 2027, Spring 2027, or Fall 2027 studies at Medicine Hat College.
- The draw will take place on December 1, 2026.
- Current Medicine Hat College students are not eligible, including students changing programs.
- All applications and entries will be reviewed to confirm eligibility before the draw.
- The tuition waiver has no cash value, is non-transferable, and cannot be exchanged for cash.
- If tuition and fees are less than $1,000, no refund or credit will be provided for the remaining balance.
- The recipient must enroll in and attend the semester for which they applied. If the recipient does not attend, the tuition waiver will not be re-awarded.
