Began teaching at MHC: 2017
Kristal is the program coordinator and simulation lead for the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program at MHC. Drawing on her background as an emergency room nurse and her specialization in simulation education, Kristal brings a unique blend of nursing knowledge and experience. She holds a certificate in Advanced Critical Care Nursing and is a Canadian Certified Simulation Nurse Educator. Kristal enjoys teaching pathophysiology and values experiential learning through simulation, providing a safe environment for students to make mistakes, be brave learners, and reflect on their nursing practice.
Passionate about sparking curiosity in her students, Kristal fosters a dynamic learning space that encourages students to embrace new challenges wholeheartedly and question their ways of thinking. The most rewarding aspect of contributing to the student experience at MHC is the meaningful connection with students and witnessing their growth as they achieve their goals. Kristal takes pride in teaching at MHC, allowing her to share her enthusiasm for teaching and nursing in a meaningful way.
