It is a privilege to be instructing in the Child & Youth Care Counsellor (CYCC) diploma program at Medicine Hat College. I believe that our students have the opportunity to engage in transformational learning, as they build on the development of their professional identity as future Child & Youth Care Counsellors. I appreciate learning with our students, and am eager to support them in their academic success.
All of the faculty in CYCC have extensive practical experience, having worked directly in the field. Consequently, I strive to provide a meaningful connection with theory to practice for our students. In return, I ask my students to be active participants in their learning while contributing to the learning environment of the entire cohort.
When I'm not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my family of 4, and appreciate spending as much time hiking and golfing in beautiful British Columbia!
