Began teaching at MHC: 2017
Karli has a deep love for the practice of Child and Youth Care and brings the wisdom
gained through 18 years of field experience to her role as an educator. This
knowledge guides her in supporting student's integration of theory and practice.
The Profession of CYC course is one of her favourite to teach as it provides
opportunities for planting seeds that are nourished throughout the remainder of
student's educational journeys.
Karli also love teaching the counselling course where student's start with trepidation
and self-doubt and end the semester with confidence in their ability to utilize these
skills in building therapeutic relationships with children, youth and families. This is
where passion for the field ignites.
Outside of work, Karli enjoys paddle boarding, camping, biking with her dog and
driving her three children around to all the things!
