Ryann has dedicated over 8 years to full-time acute care nursing at Medicine Hat Regional Hospital, where she continues to maintain a casual position. Throughout her nursing career, she has shared her expertise by precepting Practical Nurse students, contributing to their professional growth and development.

 

Recently, Ryann transitioned to a full-time teaching role at Medicine Hat College, where her passion for educating future nurses has flourished. She finds immense reward in teaching both theory classes and clinicals, as she gets to witness students' progress and growth over the course of the academic year.

 

Ryann is committed to creating a safe, positive, and collaborative learning environment for her students. She values the team-oriented culture at Medicine Hat College, where instructors work together to ensure student success. Her teaching philosophy is grounded in fostering a supportive atmosphere that encourages learning and professional development.

 

Outside of teaching, Ryann enjoys spending quality time with her husband and daughter, and she enjoys reading.
