MHC partners with province to help employers deal with change during uncertain times
April 12, 2016
In response to challenging economic times, Medicine Hat College (MHC) has partnered with Government of Alberta to offer a full day workshop on May 3 at Medicine Hat College.
The Employer Workshop: Dealing with Change During Uncertain Times will provide impacted employers with supports, resources and guidance.
“We need to acknowledge that employers are also struggling right now. This workshop will help support them through tough economic conditions, and ensure they have helpful information and strategies for their business or organization,” says Andrea Aarden, career advisor at Medicine Hat College.
This free workshop is targeted to supervisors, human resource managers, and small business owners who would like to learn more about workforce changes during the economic downturn.
The session will be facilitated by Julianna Cantwell, CHRP of Juna Consulting, who has experience in both non-unionized and unionized workplaces throughout Canada, under provincial and federally regulated industries.
For human resource professionals, this session is certified by the Human Resources Institute Alberta (HRIA) for 7.5 Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) Continuing Professional Development (CPD) hours.
The Employer Workshop: Dealing with Change During Uncertain Times will run from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Courtyard Room at Medicine Hat College. Participation is limited and registration is free (including lunch), but participants must sign-up online at mhc.ab.ca/workshop to reserve a spot. The full agenda is also available online.
