Job Fair 2017
February 7, 2017
Medicine Hat College’s (MHC) Job Fair is back for another year. On February 15, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. the college will be filled with employers wanting to connect with jobseekers. The public is welcome to attend.
“This event is about gaining employment whether it is a career position, a general opportunity or a summer job,” said Shelly Drefs, student career services assistant. “The variation in jobs and industries that are available this year is much broader than in the past, so we have even included the jobs that the employers are seeking on the exhibitor list. There are also a few exhibitors who aren’t hiring directly, but can provide great information and maybe help you move forward on the path you want.”
Drefs was happy to see many returning organizations, with several new employers such as Elkwater Lake Lodge and Riverview Golf Course, as well.
“We encourage people to come prepared with resumes and dressed in attire that is appropriate for interviews,” said Drefs. “Be prepared for on-the-spot interviews and ready to tell the companies why you would be a good match for their organization.”
There are currently over 45 exhibitors registered.
