Registration for Medicine Hat College’s (MHC) annual Rattler Run is now open. Participants will be provided a 3, 5 and 10 kilometre (km) option.

New this year, is a 10 km route that includes the scenic Ajax Coulee trail. As this year’s run is the 40^th anniversary, limited edition race shirts will be available.

“To be able to celebrate the Rattler Run’s 40^th anniversary is extremely exciting. It means 40 years of being surrounded by a great community of people who value the importance of physical activity, and come together to celebrate it every spring,” says Tara Chisholm, race director.

According to Chisholm the race is an event for new and veteran runners.

“For some people this may be getting their first 10 km of the season under their belt; whereas, other racers may be just starting their running journey for the first time ever with the 3 km route. Whatever the goal, we are always excited to cheer on the racers and provide an atmosphere where they can achieve their own version of success.”

Participants are encouraged to keep an eye out for a variety of contests and celebrations for the anniversary.
