Medicine Hat College invites applications for a regular, full-time Administrative Assistant II in the School of Health & Community Services.
A little about the role:
The School of Health and Community Services at Medicine Hat College offers a range of programs designed to prepare students for high-demand roles in fields such as nursing, paramedics, and social work. The school combines classroom instruction, practical training, and hands-on experience.
The Administrative Assistant to the School of Health and Community Services establishes a welcoming tone for the school. Responsibilities include providing reception services, tracking important files, and providing administrative support for the programs. The Administrative Assistant interacts with faculty, students, and the general public, providing information and referral to incoming requests regarding appropriate policy and requests for assistance.
Details:
- Administrative Office Professional Certificate or equivalent OR an equivalent combination of related education and work experience may be considered.
- Two years related office experience.
- Strong organizational skills to thrive in a fast-paced environment, where multitasking, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt quickly are essential to meet deadlines and manage competing priorities.
- The successful candidate will possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, word processing and data entry skills, as well as have the ability to work both independently and as a team player.
- Knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Office applications is essential.
Hours: 35 hours per week
Wage Rate: $23.55 per hour (Start Rate); $26.77 per hour (Job Rate)
