A little about the role:
You will be responsible for:
- Providing day-to-day instruction, grading, and feedback to students.
- Conduct training sessions in a clear and engaging manner, ensuring participants understand the material.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment, encouraging participation and interaction among learners.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with participants, colleagues, and stakeholders.
Course Content Includes:
Throughout the course, students will explore key topics such as an overview of tourism and hospitality in Southeastern Alberta, attitude and self-empowerment, communication and literacy, organization and task management, point-of-sale systems, numeracy skills, technology, critical thinking, and collaboration. Your role will be to facilitate students’ understanding of these subjects, helping them gain both the technical and soft skills necessary for success in the workplace.

- A self-starter and able to manage your time effectively.
- A strong understanding of the required job skills for a front desk associate.
- A passion for education and creating a strong tourism and hospitality industry in Alberta.
- Previous use of Blackboard LMS would be considered an asset.
- Teaching or mentorship experience is preferred.
- Participates in and values continuous learning.
- The ability to work collaboratively and make positive contributions as a team member.
- A valid driver’s license; program is held at multiple locations in Medicine Hat.
- A combination of education, experience, and knowledge in management or leadership in the hospitality industry is preferred.
