Medicine Hat College’s School of Health & Community Services invites applications for a Paramedic Instructor. This full-time temporary position commences July 1, 2025. Subject to a successful completion of a probationary period of two consecutive years, the position will be a continuous appointment.

Responsibilities include classroom, laboratory, simulation, clinical and practicum supervision throughout the curriculum while engaging in the professional responsibilities of faculty and contribute to an environment that fosters the success of the college and our students.

Details:
- An Advanced Care Paramedic (ACP) credential and current registration with ACP
- A Master’s degree in a related field is preferred
- Applicants must show evidence of at least 5 years of successful clinical experience at the ACP level
- Possess excellent interpersonal and inter-professional collaboration skills, as well as a commitment to learners and learning
- Computer literacy, ability to provide feedback and cueing are required
- Teaching experience at the post-secondary level is an asset
- Equivalent combinations of education and work experience may be considered

Degrees conferred outside of Canada must be accredited by the Province of Alberta, International Qualification Assessment Service (IQAS), Alberta Advanced Education and Technology, to be valid and recognized by Medicine Hat College.
All faculty who are newly hired, or are on temporary contracts, must provide official transcripts verifying their qualifications.
