The Centre for Innovation (C4I) at Medicine Hat College (MHC) is excited to offer five (5) Summer Research Studentships, inviting motivated individuals to contribute to innovative projects that drive advancements in health and technology.
A little about the role:
- Conduct research and analysis to support project goals
- Collect, organize, and analyze qualitative and/or quantitative data
- Identify and address challenges specific to project objectives
- Collaborate with stakeholders to develop actionable recommendations and solutions
- Present findings through comprehensive reports and/or presentations
Your specific responsibilities may vary depending on the assigned project. Areas of focus may include, but are not limited to, technology validation, health and wellness research, patient care practices, and community engagement.
Details:
- A keen interest in research and innovation, with a willingness to learn
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A background in a relevant field such as health, sciences, technology, or business would be an asset
This is a position funded by an external program and the eligible candidate must be:
- Registered in an undergraduate or college-level program at a post-secondary institution in Canada.
- Legally allowed to work according to the relevant provincial and Canadian legislation and regulations.
Terms of Employment: 10 weeks starting May 19th
Hours of Work: 35 hours per week
Wage Rate: $20.00 per hour

This program provides students with paid experiential opportunities during the summer months with the goals of: - Increases awareness and interest in research and innovation careers – particularly at the intersection of health and emerging technologies. - Create opportunities for emerging talent to acquire experience and connections in Alberta’s health R&I ecosystem. - Increase the competitiveness of Alberta as a destination for R&I talent. - Leverage partner relationships to advance Digital Health innovation in Alberta.
