Medicine Hat College is accepting internal applications for a regular full-time Accounting Coordinator (Accounting Assistant III) for our Financial Services department.
A little about the role:
The position is responsible for fixed assets, bank reconciliations, day to day banking, and provides support to supervisors for monthly financial reporting, budgeting, general ledger, preparation of special reports for external and internal use, day to day resolution of financial issues and inquiries, and preparation of year-end audit file sections.
Details:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance/Commerce
- Three years’ experience in an accounting environment
- Equivalent combinations of post-secondary education and work experience may be considered
- Excellent working knowledge of full cycle accounting, including but not limited to, accounts receivable, accounts payable, fixed assets, cash receipts, and bank and account reconciliations
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to be able to provide customer service and guidance to staff
- Hours of Work: 35 hours per week
- Pay rate: $30.82 per hour (Start Rate); $34.30 per hour (Job Rate)
