A little about the role:
Medicine Hat College is seeking a dynamic and experienced Client Services Team Lead to oversee the operations of our Client Services Team and operations. In this key role, you will provide leadership and strategic direction to the Client Services Team, managing daily Call Centre operations, overseeing team performance, and ensuring exceptional technical support to students, faculty, and staff. You will supervise the team, handling hiring, performance evaluations, and ongoing development, while providing coaching and mentorship to foster a high-performing team. Additionally, you will assess and prioritize service requests, assign tasks, monitor service quality, and offer hands-on support for complex technical issues when needed.
You will collaborate with faculty, staff, students, vendors, and ITS teams to research, plan, and implement IT solutions, including hybrid classroom and computer lab technologies. You will lead the design, engineering, and testing of hybrid classroom and computer lab instructional technology, ensuring seamless functionality. Managing IT assets such as workstations, peripherals, and interactive devices, along with budget management for cost-effective procurement, will be key responsibilities. You will also drive strategic planning for end-user technology deployments and ensure the security and compliance of IT systems, participating in cybersecurity incident response, system monitoring, and risk assessments to safeguard institutional assets. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership, technical expertise, and communication skills to effectively manage teams and deliver high-quality IT services.
Details:
- A Bachelor’s degree in a related field OR an equivalent combination of related education and work experience.
- 5 years of experience in a senior technical analytical position
- Experience in research, design, engineering, implementing, operating, and troubleshooting interactive technology.
- Experience with Cyber Security systems and practices.
- IT security experience related to client systems and instructional technology.
- Team leadership experience.
Licenses/Certifications:
- Cyber Security Certifications
- Other Applicable Certifications in position related areas (ITIL, client service, etc.)
- Hardware/Software Vendor Certifications (HP, Microsoft)
