Opportunity for Faculty Members and Industry Partners
The Centre for Innovation (C4i) at Medicine Hat College invites proposals from faculty members and industry partners for research projects in the health domain during Summer 2025. This 10-week program offers a unique platform to advance research initiatives that integrate innovation and emerging technologies while engaging with motivated student researchers.

- Support: Skilled and enthusiastic students will assist as research assistants

Priority Areas
Projects advancing digital or data-enabled tools, methods, or technologies in health research, including but not limited to:
- Computer modeling or simulation for drug discovery or technology development
- Addressing data access, collection, or infrastructure challenges
- Preparing health data for machine learning applications
- Enhancing participant/patient recruitment, engagement, or retention
- Predicting therapeutic outcomes or adverse effects
- Increasing acceptance of digital health solutions
- Designing decentralized clinical trials
Projects focusing on the development and commercialization of emerging health technologies (preferably digital or data-enabled) with the potential to:
- Drive commercial economic returns (jobs, revenue, or investment) for Alberta
- Deliver cost-effective and beneficial health outcomes
Projects aimed at advancing data and digitally enabled care models. Areas of interest include:
- Implementation studies in healthcare settings
- Policy development
- Citizen-centric care models
- Facilitating the adoption, implementation, and scaling of digital solutions across Alberta's care continuum
Note: Health-related projects outside these priority areas are still eligible to apply if they are connected to the field of health.
