MHC team receives national recognition for supporting learner experiences
Medicine Hat College staff were recognized for their dedication to excellence and innovation at the College & Institutes Canada (CICan) Connection Conference held in Calgary last week.
The Centre for Innovation & Teaching Excellence (CITE) received the prestigious Leadership Excellence Award for Non-Managerial Staff which celebrates the exceptional contributions made by individuals or teams within their institution and the broader community.
“The impact of CITE's work is undeniable. It is most visible in their commitment to supporting faculty members in delivering outstanding student experiences,” says Kevin Shufflebotham, MHC president and CEO. “From one-on-one coaching to pioneering technology initiatives, CITE has continuously elevated the learning experience at Medicine Hat College.”
Not only have they supported faculty and internal learning opportunities like the annual Geekapalooza event, explains Shufflebotham, but they’ve extended their impact to the wider community through their involvement in supporting the Medicine Hat Police Services Patrol Supervisor Training.
“CITE's creativity and resourcefulness have been instrumental in overcoming challenges, particularly during the difficult times we've faced. From innovative programs to efforts to engage everyone, they have consistently demonstrated their ability to adapt and thrive.”
