University Transfer: Kinesiology
University Transfer: Kinesiology is a stream within the University Transfer: Bachelor of Science program.
Kinesiology is the study of human movement and its impact on health, wellness, and athletic performance.
Using a multi-disciplinary approach, students actively engage in theoretical, experiential, and hands-on learning opportunities that help develop a strong foundation for a variety of career options or further studies. Kinesiology graduates can be found working as coaches, exercise physiologists, athletic therapists, fitness specialists, consultants, researchers, adaptive physical activity specialists, athletic directors, recreation coordinators, and registered kinesiologists. You can also use a Kinesiology degree to pursue other professional degrees such as physical therapy, occupational therapy, or medicine.
You can complete up to two years of credit courses at Medicine Hat College before transferring to complete your degree at a university. Medicine Hat College offers transfer courses for the Bachelor of Kinesiology and Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology at the University of Alberta; Bachelor of Kinesiology and Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology at the University of Calgary; Bachelor of Arts or Science in Kinesiology at the University of Lethbridge; and Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Saskatchewan.
