Lori has taught at Medicine Hat College for over twenty years, and over that time she has dedicated her career to supporting students in their pursuit of personal and academic growth. Over the years she has served her College community by sitting on numerous committees, presenting at various professional development sessions, volunteering for special events, and mentoring new faculty and students.
Lori has a passion for teaching anything anatomy-related, especially the application of the musculoskeletal system as it relates to exercise and physical activity. She brings this passion into her classroom so that students receive fun, enegetic and real-life learning experiences. When she is not teaching you will find Lori running, hiking, enjoying nature, and spending time with friends and family.
Lori loves being in the classroom with her students and learning just as much from them as they learn from her. She is constantly trying to step out of her own comfort zone to acquire new learning and teaching strategies that will help her facilitate her students' success. Her ultimate goal is to not only facilitate learning, but to inspire students to push themselves beyond what is comfortable, because it is beyond this comfort zone that truly great things happen.
