Much like the House Hippo PSA from the 90’s, we are going to separate fact from fiction in regards to misinformation surrounding online exams and academic integrity software such as Respondus. Misinformation can lead to unintended consequences if users fail to understand its proper usage or rely on it as a sole solution for detecting students who cheat during an online exam. By dispelling myths and providing accurate information about the capabilities and limitations of such software, educators can empower students to make informed decisions and uphold academic integrity.
