Medicine Hat College’s School of Arts, Science & Education offers an array of certificate, diploma, and collaborative degree programs as well as diverse Arts, Science and Education transfer courses. Our priority is to develop skills, knowledge and practical experience to support the success of all learners at MHC. Learners will engage in the development of intellectual virtues and real-world skills that will enhance their abilities to be active citizens in a multi-faceted, ever-changing world. The School’s versatile programming engages learners in considering multiple perspectives of the world and building program-specific skills while fostering an inclusive approach to our diverse communities.

About our School
An education in Arts invites learners to immerse themselves in the richness of humanities and social sciences as well as engage in experiential learning that will inspire and spark passion for creative endeavors.

Science offerings include chemistry, math, biology, and physics programming as well as new programs that build design and innovation skills that are critical for sustaining vibrant, healthy organizations.

The Education programming at MHC provides certificate, diploma and degree options, allowing for learner choice and readiness in preparation for working in the preschool and K-12 school systems. Through highly practicum-based curriculums, learners create an evolving teaching philosophy through experiential learning, research, discussion, and reflection.

- Early Learning & Child Care (certificate and diploma)
- Bachelor of Education (provided in collaboration with Mount Royal University)
