General Chemistry I
This course features both lecture and laboratory work for instruction. Lecture: Basic chemical concepts with an emphasis on stoichiometry; chemical bonding; atomic and molecular structure; the states of matter and phase changes; properties of solutions. Laboratory: Experiments are designed to illustrate the lecture material and to develop skill in using basic laboratory equipment.
- Prerequisites: CHEM 30 & MATH 30-1. MATH 31 is strongly recommended
- Hours: 98 (4-3)
