General Chemistry II
This course features both lecture and laboratory work for instruction. Lecture: An extension of CHEM 201 with an emphasis on: gas phase, acid-base and solubility equilibria; thermodynamics; oxidation-reduction concepts and electrochemistry; chemical kinetics and nuclear chemistry. Laboratory: Experiments are designed to highlight the lecture material and to develop skill in using the necessary laboratory equipment.
